The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are of critical global environmental and social importance. These goals include reducing poverty, eliminating income inequalities, ensuring equal access to essential health services, and developing sustainable solutions for ecological balance. Contraceptive care and reproductive health are integrated with these goals to ensure the quality of life of current and future generations. As professionals specializing in reproductive health, midwives ensure that individuals’ sexual health rights are respected and support efforts towards the sustainable development goals. This article examines how contraceptive care contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals and the critical role of midwives in this process.
