Prenatal Care Expectations and Satisfaction Levels of Pregnancy Diagnosis of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus in The Covid-19 Pandemic

This descriptive study was conducted to determine the antenatal care (Antenatal care) expectations and satisfaction levels of pregnant women diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in the COVID-19 pandemic.The sample of the study consisted of 55 pregnant women diagnosed with GDM.Data were collected by face-to-face interview technique using the Participant Information Form, Antenatal Care Satisfaction and Patient Expectations scale created by the researchers between 17.05.2021 and 01.09.2021.Independent Sample-t test, ANOVA test, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis H test and Spearman correlation coefficient were used to evaluate the data.It is possible to evaluate the quality of health care with the increase in care satisfaction.When Prenatal Care Satisfaction and Patient Expectations were evaluated in the study; mean general expectation score was 21.04±4.60, and mean general satisfaction score was 53.16±16.97.As a result; Pregnant women diagnosed with GDM in the COVID-19 pandemic received adequate prenatal care, It was determined that the age, education level, region of residence, family type, age of the spouse, education level of the spouse, and income level did not affect their receiving antenatal care service.However, it was concluded that pregnant women were deprived of pregnant school education due to the COVID-19 pandemic.It was determined that the mean scores of prenatal care satisfaction and patient expectations were high. abstract should be justified.
