Nursing Care with Neuman Systems Model of a Pregnant Woman Admitted to the Clinic with a Diagnosis of Abortion Imminens: Case Report

This study, which is a case report, explains the nursing care applied to a pregnant woman diagnosed with Abortus Imminens in line with the Neuman Systems Model. In order to protect the personal data and privacy of the female patient in the study, her fictitious name and surname initials are "Y.K." Coding was done with. To obtain the study data, face-to-face interview method and a data collection tool prepared in line with the Neuman Systems Model were used. The "six basic questions" in the model were asked to the patient in determining stressors and planning nursing care. In line with the findings, pregnant Y.K. encountered intrapersonal, interpersonal and extrapersonal stressors in physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural and spiritual areas; It was determined that most of the participants experienced stress in the psychological field. Defense lines have been activated against the stressors perceived by Y.K. After determining Y.K.'s stressors and the characteristics of his defense lines, nursing care was applied in line with secondary and tertiary nursing care strategies. The Neuman Systems Model is thought to be effective in managing stress in nursing care provided from a holistic perspective. Therefore, it is thought that it is important for nurses who provide care to their patients to use this model in the presence of situations that cause stress.
